Elisa Wicks

Elisa Wicks received the Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied violin with Stephen Rose and Linda Cerone, and Suzuki Pedagogy with Michelle George and Terri Einfeldt. In demand throughout the greater Pittsburgh area as both a soloist and a chamber musician,  Elisa performs with the Academy Chamber Orchestra, Bach and the Baroque, the Pittsburgh Baroque Ensemble, and the Butler Symphony.

Elisa also studied baroque violin with Cynthia Roberts; historical performance practice with Janina Ceaser; and early music, tuning, temperament, and improvisation with Ross Dufn at Case Western Reserve University.  While serving as concertmaster for the CWRU Baroque Orchestra (2002 to 2004), she had the opportunity to perform as the soloist in many pieces including Vivaldi’s Winter concerto. In addition, Elisa performed in a masterclass for Lucy van Dael and demonstrated the baroque violin in a pre-concert lecture for Andrew Manze.

Elisa lives in Butler with her husband Eric and three young sons.
