Chatham Baroque is thriled to be presented by the wonderful Indianapolis Early Music Festival for a concert featuring the work of one of the most colorful, inventive, idiosyncratic, and overlooked composers of the Baroque, Giovanni Giralamo Kapsperger. We'll focus on his instrumental Sinfonias, Ballos, Gagliardas, and Correnti as well as include music of others who worked or were published in Rome, including Arcangelo Corelli, Diego Ortiz, and Giovanni Battista Fontana. We'll be joined by Allison Edberg, Martie Perry, and Dave Walker.
Unfamiliar with Kapsperger? Have a listen to our recently released album of his music, Alla Luce, here.
