Chatham Baroque: Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater

Chatham Baroque brings you the sublime music of the Lenten season featuring Giovanni Pergolesi’s (1710-1736) breathtaking masterpiece, the Stabat Mater. A rich ensemble of strings, organ, theorbo and violone supply the dramatic backdrop for the soaring, intertwining voices of Pascale Beaudin (soprano) and Reginald Mobley (countertenor). Additional music by Esteban Salas y Castro (1725-1803) and Henry Purcell (1659-1695).
