Virtuoso recorder player Judith Linsenberg joins Chatham Baroque in a program of Italian concertos and sonatas featuring two popular concertos for recorder, strings and basso continuo–Giuseppe Sammartini’s spirited concerto in F Major for recorder and strings and Antonio Vivaldi’s programmatic Il Gardellino, from his opus 10 publication. Linsenberg will play soprano and alto recorders as well as a special recorder in the key of d known as the second flute. Rounding out the program are works by Dario Castello, Giovanni Bononcini, Giovanni Legrenzi, and not one but two Scarlattis— Alessandro and Domenico!
