Join Chatham Baroque’s Andrew Fouts (violin), Patricia Halverson (viola da gamba), and Scott Pauley (theorbo), as they lead an all-ages session previewing selections from the 2023-24 season’s first concert, The Art of the Trio, taking place October 6-8. Learn about the history of Baroque and early music, of Chatham Baroque, and the musicians and their instruments.

Add an optional self-guided nature walk to your morning following the program.

Hope Across the Centuries

A special collaboration between Calvary Episcopal Church and Chatham Baroque in conjunction with the Violins of Hope exhibition.

Music exists only in its sounding moment—but that moment can happen again and again, across time and space, even as everything around it changes. This concert focuses on instrumental and vocal music from the Sephardic tradition and seventeenth-century Venice. Chatham Baroque plays instruments from the Violins of Hope collection

Handel’s Messiah

Calvary Episcopal Church and Chatham Baroque will perform Handel’s Messiah in Pittsburgh’s only complete performance of this monumental work, bringing the majesty of the joyous refrains and exultant arias to audiences for the holiday.
