French music during the reigns of Louis XIII and Louis XIV centered around the air de cour and ballet de cour, sublime vocal and dance music that appeared at court and in the plays of Molière, eventually leading to the development of French opera. Featuring Pascale Beaudin (soprano) and an array of superb instrumentalists playing on the violin, viol, and lute families, Chatham Baroque brings to life to rarely heard jewels of music by Jean-Baptiste Lully and his predecessors.
There will be a pre-concert tour of the Maxo Vanka murals at St. Nicholas on Fri., Dec. 6, 6:30 PM led by Society to Preserve the Millvale Murals of Maxo Vanka.
