Soprano Kathryn Copeland Donaldson is known for her crystalline high notes and precise musical interpretations. A sought after concert artist, Ms. Donaldson has appeared as with Chatham Baroque, Gabrieli Consort, City Bach Collective, Pittsburgh Camerata and All Souls Orchestra in venues such as St. Paul’s Cathedral, Royal Albert Hall, St. Martin-in-the-fields, Mariamite Cathedral of Damascus and Pittsburgh’s Heinz Chapel. A graduate of Westminster Choir College of Rider University and Royal Academy of Music in London, Ms. Donaldson has collaborated on the concert stage with Sir Paul McCreesh, Laurence Cummings, Sir Richard Hickox, Dr. Noel Tredinnick and Dr. Joseph Flummerfelt. Ms. Donaldson sings with Pittsburgh Opera Chorus and has sung the roles of Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Micaela (Carmen), and Countess Rosina (La Nozze di Figaro) with Pittsburgh’s Undercroft Opera. Ms. Donaldson is equally at home with contemporary opera, and sang Rowan (The Little Sweep) and Cathleen (Riders to the Sea) with Microscopic Opera. In addition to performing, Ms. Donaldson enjoys cooking, traveling, reading and spending time with her family. She teaches music K-12 at Beaver County Christian School, teaches voice privately and is Adjunct Music Faculty at Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA. Upcoming concert performances include a Pittsburgh Camerata Christmas program and G.F. Handel’s Messiah at St. Vincent Basilica, Latrobe, PA.
