William Lawes

William Lawes (1602-1645) was an English composer, who spent a significant part of his career in the retinue of Charles I. He composed music of many genres, but is best known for his viol and chamber music. Chatham Baroque will be performing some of his harp consorts in their Cupid’s Harp program.
