The Wanderer explores journeys of exile, pilgrimage, and fate through vivid musical narratives drawn from Beowulf and Anglo-Saxon elegies of loss. Interwoven with instrumental works rooted in early melodic traditions, this evocative program brings to life a world of perilous travel, memory, and longing. Performed by the renowned medieval ensemble Sequentia, led by Benjamin Bagby and Norbert Rodenkirchen.
